For I have walked in the shadow of loneliness
and in the valleys of darkness
And found myself at the depth
of an impaired sea bed
Weak and helpless
Lost and hopeless
For I’ve been through heaviest storms
Lightning and pouring rains
But through all of these and more
Lord, you’ve rescued me to a shore
Renewed and restored me
Strengthened and lifted me
In all of my imperfections
And in all of my desperations
You became my refuge and only hope
And to lay down all of my burdens, you became home
